Bravemind, a VR system worn by a patient and controlled by a clinician, which immerses the subject in surroundings similar to their traumatic experience. The clinician prompts the patient to talk through what happened to them while they experience the simulation, which has been shown to lead to a deeper, more emotional response than imagination alone. The clinician can manipulate the virtual world to better match the patient’s narrative, allowing them to work through the emotions and physiological responses the experience continues to evoke.
